JoAnn Zell

I grew up in Northern VA. From the fifth grade on, I was on the back of a horse or teaching others to ride. Through my years with horses I have had the opportunity to meet many amazing people who have greatly influenced my life both personally and professionally. In 2002 a student of mine hired me to work for her mortgage company where I was given the opportunity to grow rapidly in the mortgage industry. I was able to truly get a taste for what mortgages were all about. Upon moving to Florida in the spring of 2009, I decided to use the knowledge that I had to better inform people on their mortgage choices and I joined the team at VanDyk Mortgage. Because of my background in mortgages, I am able to assist a borrower from an underwriter’s perspective from the beginning of the process, instead of waiting for a last minute problem or delay. From my life with horses, I am able to explain difficult concepts in an easily understandable way. My goal is to educate my clients on the realities and rewards of successful homeownership.
